Job summary

Masson & Associates, Inc. is growing its traffic engineering practice in Southern California and seeks an experienced Project Manager – Traffic Engineering to lead studies, design and consulting for public and private clients.

Requires a California PE and 7+ years of traffic engineering experience. You will manage projects from proposal through completion, prepare TIS and CEQA analyses, and coordinate with cities, Caltrans, and other agencies while mentoring junior staff and ensuring deliverable

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in California
• Minimum 7 years of traffic engineering experience including California work
• Proficiency with Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS, and VISSIM
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation
• Knowledge of California MUTCD, Caltrans standards, and CEQA/VMT analysis
• PTOE certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage traffic engineering projects from proposal to completion
• Prepare traffic impact studies and CEQA analyses
• Oversee intersection, signal, signing, striping, and TCP plans
• Lead meetings with agencies and clients
• Coordinate with cities/counties/Caltrans for processing
• Prepare proposals, scopes, and fee estimates; manage budgets and invoicing
• Maintain client relationships and pursue new business
• Mentor junior staff and ensure quality control
• Ensure quality control on all deliverables
