Job summary

Qualifications

Licensed CA Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
Minimum of 3 years of traffic engineering experience.
Proficiency with Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS, and VISSIM.
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation.
Working knowledge of CA MUTCD, Caltrans standards, and CEQA/VMT analysis.

Responsibilities

Prepare traffic impact studies (TIS), VMT/CEQA transportation analyses, parking studies, and site circulation reviews.
Perform traffic operations analysis using Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS, and VISSIM.
Prepare intersection design, traffic signal, signing and striping, and temporary traffic control plans.
Perform traffic data collection, turning movement analysis, and parking utilization studies.
Coordinate with cities, counties, Caltrans, and other agencies on processing and permitting.
Prepare construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation.
Assist with proposals, scopes, and fee estimates.
Support project managers with project schedules, budgets, and client communication.
Ensure quality control on all deliverables.
