Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems in North Charleston, SC seeks a Traffic Control Supervisor II to oversee and execute traffic control operations on state highways and roadways. You will lead crews, ensure safety compliance, and manage job documentation while transporting equipment between sites.

The role requires ATSSA supervisor certification, 3–4 years of traffic control experience, and the ability to travel statewide. Nights/weekends and on-call shifts are required, with competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record.
• 3–4 years (6,000+ hours) of traffic control experience.
• ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor certification.
• Must complete ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor advanced training.
• Experience setting up traffic control operations on state/local roadways.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to transport materials and equipment to and from job sites.
• Lead daily traffic control crews with demonstrated leadership and advanced knowledge of traffic control.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, PPE requirements, and company policies.
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety training to crew members.
• Mentor and train new hires in traffic control and safety procedures.
• Ensure timesheets and tickets are completed and submitted daily.
• Operate MOT and TMA vehicles to protect workers and work zones.
• Set up and manage traffic control devices and signs at worksites.
• Inspect work zones and maintain equipment and inventory.
• Travel statewide to various job sites as required.
