Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
• 2+ years in traffic control with 4,000 field hours.
• ATSSA TCS intermediate training completed.
• Background check and motor vehicle records check required.
• Drug test cleared per DOT requirements.
• Proper safety equipment usage required.
• Ability to read plans and traffic control plans.
• Knowledge of state and federal motor carrier safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT vehicle to and from projects and on work sites.
• Drive TMA vehicle to and from projects and on work sites.
• Place temporary construction signs in work areas.
• Position arrow boards or variable message boards in work areas.
• Set up traffic cones and other traffic safety devices in work areas.
• Monitor the work zone throughout the shift and ensure items are in place.
• Load and unload traffic control items at shift start/end.
• Install, remove, and reset delineators, signs, posts, and supports.
• Perform shop maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Follow safety rules and company policies; maintain a safe work environment.
• Be available for rotating on-call schedule and travel statewide as required.
