Job summary

Nuro is seeking a technically strong, hands-on Manager of Technical Program Management to lead the TPM team for the AI Platform, covering data flywheel, onboard firmware, cloud services, and fleet operations tooling.

You will develop TPMs, own critical programs, and collaborate with engineering, product, and external partners to accelerate autonomy development and reliable deployment across vehicle platforms and programs.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in technical program management or related technical leadership.
2+ years of direct people-management experience with TPMs or engineers.
Strong technical depth in distributed systems, embedded software, ML infrastructure, data platforms, or robotics.
Track record delivering ambiguous technical programs from definition through deployment.
Strong analytical skills to identify root causes, test assumptions, and prioritize trade-offs.
Ability to influence teams without direct authority and communicate risks clearly.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the TPM team, set expectations, and hire talent.
Directly own complex programs requiring technical judgment and coordination.
When needed, translate ambiguous goals into defined scope, milestones, and owners.
Resolve blockers through design reviews, planning, and investigations.
Coordinate requirements, interfaces, testing, and rollout across onboard/offboard systems.
Align external partners on deliverables, responsibilities, and schedules.
Improve execution with practical planning, metrics, and automation.
