Job summary

Jazwares, LLC is seeking a Lead Product Designer to drive the development of licensed plastic and plush toys from concept to production. You will partner with licensors and internal teams to maintain brand alignment and deliver market-relevant products.

Responsibilities include leading design efforts, managing timelines, and mentoring junior designers, while ensuring high-quality, cost-efficient outcomes across multiple categories.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in toy design, product development, or industrial design.
• Experience with plastics and hard goods manufacturing.
• Strong ability to produce control drawings, renderings, and technical specs.
• Proven leadership, mentorship and project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for stakeholder presentations.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of consumer products across plastic and plush toy categories while maintaining brand alignment.
• Serve as liaison with licensors to manage approvals and updates.
• Develop product concepts using sketches, 2D/3D renderings, and prototypes.
• Oversee development timelines to ensure on-time, cost-efficient milestones.
• Create turnover specs and control drawings for international teams and factories.
• Coordinate with branding, engineering, packaging, and marketing for cohesive execution.
• Research trends, materials, and manufacturing innovations in plush and plastic categories.
• Mentor junior designers to build a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
