GE Vernova is seeking a Tooling Main Project Engineer to lead the design and validation of tools for erection and maintenance of hydropower plant components in North America. You will collect site information, coordinate CoE activities, and ensure DFM practices with US stamping where required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree from an accredited university in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent knowledge or experience.
• Significant experience (>5 years) in mechanical design - US stamp Mandatory.
• Experience in design of lifting equipment and access platform or significant experience on site.
• Good knowledge of CAD and calculation.
• Excellent written & verbal English skills for international communications.
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional and global teams.
• Strong interpersonal skills, proven leadership skills and a positive energy.

Responsibilities

• Collect information from site, Project Engineering Manager, logistics and COE to prepare the synopsis and lashing drawings.
• Imagine erection and maintenance operation according to procedure to maximize use of standard tools while following EHS rules.
• Perform calculation and design of tooling according to CoE Design Practices with validation from tooling principal engineer.
• Represent the Tooling CoE in front of Project Team, System Integrator, CoE engineers, Supply Chain and Construction & Commissioning.
• Coordinate within Tooling CoE the calculation and design of tools identified during synopsis, ensuring planning, cost and safety requirements.
• Design specific tools (3D models, calculation notes, fabrication drawings, instruction manuals).
• Prepare lifting drawings and stamp tooling designs when needed for US projects.
