Job summary

Integrated Personnel Services Limited in North America is looking for a Tooling Main Project Engineer to join the Tooling team within the Engineering department. The role focuses on design and studies of tools for transportation and erection of main hydropower plant equipment.

You will lead project execution for awarded NA projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams. You will perform calculations and tool designs per COE Design Practices, and you will work with the Tooling COE and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in mechanical design of hydro generators.
• Experience in lifting equipment design or on-site exposure.
• Proficiency with CAD software NX or SolidWorks.
• Fluent written and spoken English for international communication.
• Ability to work with cross-functional, global teams.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Tooling COE on project teams and coordinate tool design and calculations.
• Plan and execute the full tooling list to meet transportation, erection, cost and safety requirements.

Job Description Summary

The Tooling Main Project Engineer will join the Tooling team within Engineering department, who is responsible for technical studies and design of tools for transportation and erection of main pieces of equipment constituting a hydropower plant (embedded parts, turbine, generator, valves and hydromechanical). He/She will be specifically in charge of project execution for already awarded projects in North America region

Job Description

For a given project in execution, he/she will perform the calculation and the design of the tools according to the COE’s Design Practices and with the validation of the tooling principal engineer.

• Represent the Tooling Center of Excellence (COE) in front of the Project Team: Generator System Integrator, Generator COE main project engineers, Supply Chain and Construction & Commissioning
• Coordinate within the Tooling COE the calculation and design of the full list of tools identified during synopsis phase (detailed transportation & erection sequence of the power plant) – fulfilling planning, cost, and safety requirement

Required Qualifications/Characteristics:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent knowledge or experience
• Significant experience (>5 years) in mechanical design of hydro generators
• Experience in design of lifting equipment and access platform or significant experience on site
• Good knowledge of CAD software NX or SolidWorks
• Excellent written & verbal English skills for international communications
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional and global teams
• Strong people skills, proven leadership skills and a positive energy
