Job summary

Menzner Hardwoods is seeking a qualified Lead Tooling Engineer at our Marathon, WI location. This full-time role reports to the Sr. Project Engineer and will oversee tooling needs for the moulding department.

You will program and operate tooling machines (waterjet and automated profile grinder), create profile drawings, and collaborate with scheduling to optimize efficiency. Strong CAD/CAM experience and leadership abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in an engineering discipline.
• Experience using CAD and/or CAM software.
• Strong analytical ability to analyze and solve problems.
• Excellent organization and time management; able to take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Maintain tooling needs of the moulding department.
• Program and operate tooling machines including a waterjet and automated profile grinder.
• Collaborate with scheduling to ensure tooling is prepared on time to optimize efficiency.
• Create drawings of new profiles as requested by Sales.
• Monitor and order supplies for the tooling department.
• Lead tooling room employees to maximize department efficiency.

Job description

Menzner Hardwoods is seeking a qualified Lead Tooling Engineer at our Marathon, WI location. This full-time position reports directly to the Sr. Project Engineer and will be responsible for maintaining the tooling needs of the moulding department.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Ability to multi-task and work at a fast pace.
• Ability to create profile drawings in CAD drawings.
• Program and operate multiple tooling machines to include a waterjet and automated profile grinder.
• Collaborate with scheduling team to ensure tooling is prepared in a timely manner to optimize efficiency of moulding department.
• Create drawings of new profiles as requested by the Sales team.
• Monitor and order supplies for the tooling department as required.
• Lead and guide tooling room employees to maximize efficiency and timeliness of department.

Qualifications and Competencies:

• Working knowledge of Microsoft applications, AutoCAD2D and AutoCAD Inventor and Weinig WMS system
• Ability to work alone or as part of a team
• Strong analytical ability to analyze and solve problems
• Organization and time management
• Takes initiative
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Manufacturing Engineer Education Requirements and Related Experience:

• Experience in an engineering discipline
• Experience using CAD and/or CAM software
