Job summary

ABB is seeking a Tool & Stamping Die Design Engineer to lead the design of progressive and deep-draw stamping dies and to optimize tooling for performance, quality, cost, and durability. You will guide projects end-to-end, mentor teams, and ensure engineering standards are met in a manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in Tool & Die, strong SolidWorks/AutoCAD, and GD&T expertise, with a background in carbide lamination dies and sheet metal forming.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 5+ years of Tool & Die experience.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD with GD&T knowledge.
• Experience with progressive stamping and carbide lamination dies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of complex stamping dies (progressive, transfer, draw).
• Perform calculations and optimize tooling for performance, quality, durability, and cost.
• Own tooling projects end-to-end—from concept through launch—including DFM reviews and change implementation.
• Drive tooling performance improvements through data analysis and production support.
