Job summary

The Goddard School in Morrisville, NC is seeking a passionate Lead Teacher who will implement our Wonder of Learning curriculum and guide daily activities to support each child’s growth.

You will lead a nurturing classroom, collaborate with a supportive team, maintain safety and inclusivity, and communicate regularly with families about progress and daily activities. This on-site role offers a positive, kid-focused environment with opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; CDA preferred
• 1-2 years of experience with young children in licensed setting preferred
• Develops relationships and communicates effectively with children, families and faculty members
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Curriculum and Instruction: Implement age-appropriate lesson plans using Wonder of Learning curriculum
• Classroom Management: Create a safe, nurturing, inclusive classroom
• Family Communication: Maintain open, effective communication with families
• Health and Safety: Supervise activities ensuring health and licensing standards
• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training to enhance teaching skills
• Assessment and Documentation: Observe and document children’s progress for families
• Team Collaboration: Support Assistants and Resource Teachers
• Behavior Guidance: Model positive guidance strategies
