Job summary

The Learning Experience Riverview center is hiring a caregiver to support infants and toddlers in a nurturing, education-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• ECE coursework or degree (AA/BA) preferred.
• Must meet state-specific guidelines for the role.
• DCF 45 hours required for regulatory compliance.
• CDA is preferred if no Early Education degree.

Responsibilities

• Partner with teachers to create a welcoming, engaging classroom space for children to learn and grow.
• Care for toddlers aged 12 to 36 months, ensuring health and safety.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate activities, lesson planning, and assessments.
• Use a growth mindset to develop young minds and foster a love of learning.
• Implement the L.E.A.P. Curriculum with infants and toddlers, addressing individual needs.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where play and learning happen.
• Regularly communicate with parents about their child’s adventures and progress.
• Collaborate with center staff to support enrollment and engagement goals.
• Build positive relationships with families and coworkers.

Role Responsibilities

• Partner with and learn from the teachers in your classroom to create a welcoming, engaging classroom space for children to learn, play and grow
• Responsible for the care, health and safety of toddlers ages 12 months to 36 months
• Required to have knowledge of developmentally appropriate activities, lesson planning, and assessments
• Use a growth mindset to develop young minds and inspire a love of learning
• Implement our proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum® working with Infants, Toddler children in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Communicate regularly with parents, sharing their children’s latest adventures and achievements through a variety of avenues, including mobile apps and personal discussions.
• Support your center’s success, partnering with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment and engagement.
• Build relationships with families and coworkers and create a dynamic environment where play and learning happen seamlessly.
