Job summary

The Learning Experience-Rivercrest is seeking an enthusiastic caregiver to join our Riverview, FL team. You will support teachers by creating a welcoming classroom where children ages 12 to 36 months can learn through play, while ensuring their health and safety.

You will use developmentally appropriate activities, lesson planning, and assessments, following our LEAP Curriculum. You will communicate progress with families via app and in person, helping enrollment and engagement and fostering a

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • ECE coursework/AA/BA preferred.
  • DCF 45 hours required.
  • CDA preferred if no Early Education degree.
  • CPR/First Aid preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with and learn from the teachers in your classroom to create a welcoming, engaging classroom space for children to learn, play and grow.
  • Responsible for the care, health and safety of toddlers ages 12 months to 36 months.
  • Required to have knowledge of developmentally appropriate activities, lesson planning, and assessments.
  • Use a growth mindset to develop young minds and inspire a love of learning.
  • Implement our proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum working with Infants, Toddler children in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child.
  • Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, sharing their children's latest adventures and achievements through a variety of avenues, including mobile apps and personal discussions.
  • Support your center’s success, partnering with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment and engagement.
  • Build relationships with families and coworkers and create a dynamic environment where play and learning happen seamlessly.

Education

High School Diploma/GED
ECE Coursework/AA/BA Preferred
DCF 45 hours required
CDA Preferred if no Early Education Degree
CPR/First Aid Preferred

Qualifications

  • DCF 45 hours required***
  • CDA Preferred if no Early Education Degree

  • Able to lift at least 25 pounds/sit on the floor with children
