You’ll create a warm, nurturing environment where children can thrive and explore.

Early Childhood Teachers are responsible for contributing to a cohesive teaching team, coordinating the curriculum, and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. Teachers must understand children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. Teachers must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide assistant teachers, and resolve parental concerns.

This position reports to the Program Director.

Duties
  • Spark Curiosity: Implement a play-based curriculum that ignites children’s imaginations.
  • Foster Growth: Nurture children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
  • Build Relationships: Connect with children and families to create a strong sense of community.
  • Bridge the Gap: Maintain frequent communication with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent‑teacher conferences.
  • Lead the Team: Supervise and mentor your team to ensure the highest quality care.
  • Stay Updated: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay ahead of the latest early childhood education trends.
  • Ensure Safety: Monitor indoor and outdoor learning environments for safety and cleanliness.
Requirements
  • A passion for early childhood education.
  • A minimum of three years of classroom-based child care experience as a Lead Teacher is preferred.
  • High School Diploma (required); Child Development Associate (CDA) credential is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Must clear a full background check and pass health screening.
