Job summary

Guidepost Montessori is hiring a Lead Toddler Guide (Teacher) to lead a mixed-age toddler classroom in a Montessori setting designed for exploration and independence. You will facilitate language development, self-regulation, and confidence through observation, individualized lessons, and respectful guidance.

You’ll foster an environment that supports curiosity, collaboration with families, and routines that empower children to lead their own learning journeys.

Qualifications

• Willingness to pursue fully sponsored Montessori certification.
• Experience with children ages 0–3 in daycare, preschool, or early learning setting.
• Aligned with child-led educational approaches (Montessori, Reggio Emilia, or similar).
• Relevant degrees/certifications in early childhood education or development.

Responsibilities

• Observe each child to support physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Prepare an orderly classroom that fosters focus, independence, and exploration.
• Encourage independence by guiding children to do tasks themselves.
• Provide lessons in practical life skills and language development.
• Build warm relationships with children and families and collaborate with parents.
• Lead classroom routines and work with the team to maintain a respectful, joyful community.
