The role reports to the OR Nurse Manager, requires CST, 3–5 years of thoracic OR experience, and a high school diploma. It is an onsite 40-hour-per-week position at 75 Francis Street, Boston, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current CST certification is required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• Thoracic surgery experience is required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a focus on patient care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for thoracic procedures and anticipate team needs.
• Organize and supply specialized instruments and equipment.
• Manage and coordinate surgical equipment to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Serve as a clinical mentor for Surgical Technologists in Thoracic Surgery.
• Collaborate with Central Processing, Materials Management, Clinical Support and Nursing Leadership to ensure smooth operations.
