Job summary

Mass General Brigham’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist II for 36-hour evening shifts in Boston, MA. The role supports the operating room with sterile technique and peri-operative care, collaborating with surgeons and nurses to ensure smooth OR operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
• Certification within one year from graduation or equivalent military training.
• Minimum of two years’ experience as a surgical technologist in an acute care setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; BSLS noted in posting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the operating room environment and assist with peri-operative care.
• Work closely with surgeons and nurses to ensure smooth, efficient OR operations.
• Maintain sterile technique and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Skills

Two years' experience

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Education

High school diploma or equivalent & accredited Surgical Technologist Program

Surgical Technologist Certification within 1 year or equivalent military/training

Associate degree preferred

4 years’ experience in acute care setting (preferred)
