Job summary

Aleron seeks an experienced Equipment Maintenance Technician - Thin Films for a direct-hire role in Gresham, Oregon. You will diagnose and maintain complex semiconductor tools across Novellus and Applied Materials platforms, and drive continuous improvements in maintenance practices.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of semiconductor equipment experience, strong troubleshooting, and can lead high-impact responses while collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Associate or technical degree, military technician training, or equivalent maintenance experience.
• Min 10 years of semiconductor equipment technician experience.
• Expert troubleshooting on Thin Films equipment.
• Ability to lead during high-impact events and provide technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex equipment and process failures using diagnostics and data.
• Lead tool recoveries and root-cause investigations with documented actions.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance with high first-time-right quality.
• Interpret equipment, process and data to identify abnormal conditions and improvements.
• Develop and standardize PM specs, guides, and maintenance systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, vendors, and management on improvements.
• Train technicians on maintenance, diagnostics, safe practices, and documentation.
• Provide technical leadership across shifts with quality handoffs and data integrity.
• Coordinate vendor support during escalations, repairs, upgrades, and qualifications.
• Maintain accurate equipment history, repair data, parts usage, and documentation.
