Job summary

onsemi is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician for its 200mm Gresham, Oregon facility. You will perform preventive, corrective, and diagnostic maintenance across Thin Films tools from major platforms, lead root-cause investigations, and drive continuous improvements.

Qualifications

10-15+ years of semiconductor equipment technician experience.
Demonstrated expert troubleshooting and problem-solving on Thin Films equipment.
Ability to lead difficult tool recoveries and root-cause investigations.
Strong written and verbal communication with complete repair documentation and cross-functional updates.
Ability to work independently, prioritise competing equipment needs, and provide technical leadership during high-impact events.

Responsibilities

Independently diagnose and resolve complex equipment and process-related failures using diagnostics and data.
Lead difficult tool recoveries and document findings for corrective action closure.
Perform and improve preventive/corrective maintenance and scheduled tool qualifications.
Interpret equipment/process data to identify abnormal conditions and reliability improvements.
Develop and standardise PM specs, troubleshooting guides, and maintenance systems.
Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and vendors to drive continuous improvement.
Train and mentor technicians on maintenance and diagnostics.
