Job summary

Sage Rehabilitation Outpatient in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a Full-time Lead Therapy Technician to support the Therapy Department and patient care. This role offers hands-on patient interaction and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Key duties include transporting patients, preparing treatments, communicating with families, assisting staff, and helping with supplies and cost‑effectiveness initiatives. Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred.
• Experience in a hospital environment desirable.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from the Therapy Department.
• Communicate with patients, families and healthcare team to maximize benefits.
• Prepare patients for treatments and assist staff with procedures.
• Provide input into budgetary planning as needed.
• Order clinic supplies and equipment.
• Support cost-effective services and programs in the department.

Essential Duties Include

• Transports patients to and from the Therapy Department
• Communicates with patients, families, significant others and members of the healthcare team to promote maximum benefits from care.
• Prepares patient for prescribed treatment and assists professional staff with patient treatment.
• Providing input into the budgetary planning process
• Ordering clinic supplies and equipment
• Contributing to cost effectiveness of services and programs provided by the department

Monday - Friday 7:30a-4:30p

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Current Basic Life Support/CPR card
• Experience in a hospital environment or participation in relevant vocational technical program is desirable.
