You will develop detailed physics-based models of sub-components, validate with experiments, define requirements, and work with compiler, applications, and QEC teams to ensure interfaces meet algorithmic needs. Qualifications

• PhD in theoretical AMO physics or closely related field.
• Experience modeling AMO experiments and multi-level atomic structure.
• Collaboration with experimental AMO or quantum hardware teams.
• Strong publication record in AMO or quantum science.
• Basic knowledge of quantum error correction and algorithms.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Julia for modeling.

Responsibilities

• Develop physics-based models of neutral-atom quantum computer sub-components.
• Characterize performance and operating regimes for experiments.
• Guide experimental progress and translate insights into architecture guidance.
