Job summary

Infleqtion seeks a Staff Quantum Physicist to lead development of neutral-atom quantum computing systems. You will guide hardware design, calibration, and system integration while mentoring a team and shaping technical roadmaps.

PhD in AMO/quantum physics or equivalent experience with 5+ years post-PhD is expected, along with hands-on atomic/optical work and strong Python, Linux, and instrumentation skills.

Qualifications

• Doctoral-level physicist with AMO/quantum background and strong hands-on experimental skills.
• Experience leading complex quantum, atomic, optical, or precision-measurement systems is required.
• Ability to translate goals into technical plans and deliverables across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, integration, calibration, operation, and improvement of neutral-atom quantum computing systems and subsystems.
• Translate program goals into requirements, experimental plans, and technical direction across processor design and laser systems.
• Design and analyze experiments and models to improve gate fidelity, stability, and processor performance.
