Qualifications

• 60 months of experience as a lead tester managing test scenarios, traceability, and plans.
• 60 months of experience with Selenium WebDriver, Java, HTML/CSS, and POM/hybrid frameworks.
• 60 months writing complex SQL queries to validate backend data and create test data.
• 48 months using GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD processes.
• 24 months of Web Accessibility testing to ADA/WCAG 2.1 compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop test artifacts and strategies for SDLC quality.

Job description

Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate need for Lead Tester in Albany, NY.

Description:

Design and develop the following test artifacts:

• Test Strategy document detailing how quality will be infused throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process
• Test Scenarios/Test Cases (business entities/objects and their relationships)
• Traceability matrix outlining the correlation between the requirements (functional & Non functional requirements), business rules, use cases, batches, interfaces, correspondences, reports and corresponding test scenarios, test cases.
• Functional Test Plan describing the who, what, where, how, and why each business function will be tested
• User Acceptance Test plan detailing entrance and exit criteria; including users in the process of decision-making re. testing specific business scenarios

Specific activities include:

• Create simple to complex SQL queries to verify tables are correctly populated
• Participates in meetings with Business Analysts, Developers, and Architects in understanding requirements
• Analyze Business and Technical requirements, identifying test scenarios based on business processes
• Create and execute functional test cases
• Work with data management to acquire test data. Where required, Identify the test data by executing the SQL queries or create the test data through the application.
• Create automation scripts using Selenium.
• Review Release Notes with each build for accuracy and completeness
• Analyze test case failures; clearly and concisely report defects using QMC designated testing tool set, which includes OpenText Application Quality Management (formerly Microfocus/HP ALM/QC) JIRA, Selenium and SoapUI/Postman.
• Create test execution summary report and communicate results to manager and project team
• Coordinate all test artifacts in common test location in QMC designated testing tool set for version control
• Re-test defects as assigned, following defect management process
• Validate each screen with web accessibility compliance tool for American Disabilities Act compliance
• Create and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium framework
• Conduct automation testing and guide automation team members in the automation of test cases using Selenium tool set.
• Create, maintain, and troubleshoot automation testing script, which could be using knowledge of JAVA, SQL, Selenium language.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Conducts automated and manual tests to ensure that the software created/upgraded performs as necessary and meets the user requirements. Develops and maintains user and technical documentation and project process documentation for application teams. Understands the view of applications and/or technology and is able to put procedures in a logical sequence.
• Candidate is able to work independently, without assistance and provides guidance to others. May have an advanced education.
• 60 months of experience as a lead tester, writing/executing/managing/creating Test Scenarios/Test Cases, Traceability matrix, Functional Test Plan, User Acceptance Test plan using industry-standard management platforms (e.g. JIRA, HP ALM/QC, or OpenText ALM)
• 60 months of experience in designing, building, and maintaining Page Object Model (POM) or hybrid test automation frameworks, Selenium WebDriver, Java, J2EE, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, Eclipse IDE
• 60 months of experience writing complex SQL queries to validate correct back-end data processing and creating test data
• 48 months of experience using GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, and familiar with CI/CD processes
• 48 months of experience testing web services in a SOA environment including functional and performance testing using JMeter/SoapUI/Postman.
• 24 months of experience performing Web Accessibility validation testing in compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA/American Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines using automated tools (e.g., xe Dev tools, WAVE) AND screen reader software.
