Job summary

Trigyn Technologies, Inc. is seeking a QA Tester in Albany, NY to perform quality assurance testing and support user acceptance testing efforts for the project.

You will liaise with stakeholders, analyze requirements, and develop BRDs and use cases to guide testing across multiple environments. You will create and execute test scripts, validate functionality against documented requirements, and document results to support test acceptance by Program staff.

Qualifications

• 84 months of QA tasks including Test Readiness Review, Test Planning, Test Execution and Reporting.
• 84 months of developing and executing software test plans and scenarios.
• 84 months of functional testing using Jira and HP ALM.
• 84 months of designing a test automation framework for multi‑platform apps (Selenium/Cucumber/Playwright/Cypress/HP UFT).
• 48 months of backend/API testing with Postman/REST Assured or similar.
• 48 months of scripting with Python/Java/JavaScript/VBScript/C# for test automation.
• 12 months of experience using Redmine.

Responsibilities

Job description

Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate need for QA Tester in Albany, NY.

Description

This Tester position will be responsible for quality assurance testing, and support of user acceptance testing efforts, for the project.

Daily Tasks

• Work as a liaison with stakeholders to elicit, communicate and validate the requirements for new initiatives or changes to current project functionality as determined by stakeholders.
• Conduct analysis of business and user needs and develop business requirements documents in accordance with requirements and protocols that govern project development and implementation.
• Create business documentation (Business Requirement documents, use cases, swim lanes, process documentation) that detail the project application functionality.
• Participate in team planning sessions with technical resources to ensure that solution designs fulfill documented requirements as stipulated by Program staff.
• Create and execute test scripts, scenarios, and test plans to validate technical solutions against documented business requirements.
• Execute and formally document test results, through all test environments, in a format that accurately reports the results for Program’s understanding and support of test acceptance

Mandatory Qualifications

• Conducts automated and manual tests to ensure that the software created/upgraded performs as necessary and meets the user requirements. Develops and maintains user and technical documentation and project process documentation for application teams. Understands the view of applications and/or technology and is able to put procedures in a logical sequence.
• Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
• 84 Months of experience in performing quality assurance tasks. (Included but not limited to: Test Readiness Review, Test Planning and Design, Test Execution, Verification and Validation, Defect Management, Performance and Usability Testing, Regression Testing, Test Reporting, etc.)
• 84 Months of experience in the development and execution of software test plans and scenarios
• 84 Months of experience in functional testing using functional testing tools such as Jira and HP ALM.
• 84 Months of experience designing a test automation framework for a complex, multi-platform application using tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Playwright, Cypress, or HP UFT for user-interface testing.
• 48 Months of experience testing backend services and APIs using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or specialized script libraries.
• 48 Months of experience using Python, Java, JavaScript, VBScript, or C# to write and maintain test scripts.
• 48 Months of experience in creating user test scripts and managing user acceptance testing
• 12 Months experience using Redmine.
