Job summary

ERock is seeking a highly skilled Lead, Test Pad Engineer to oversee FAT operations for our natural gas-powered generators. You will lead testing across engineering and manufacturing, ensure test equipment and FAT pads perform at the highest levels, and maintain test software and instrumentation.

You will analyze production and test data, develop mitigation plans, and collaborate with design teams to optimize test specifications, document all issues, and drive continuous improvements in test

Qualifications

• Two- or four-year technical degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience with Natural Gas or Diesel engines desirable.
• Knowledge of 480V three-phase power systems advantageous.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Proven ability to lead and direct multiple people during complex testing and validation activities.
• Deep understanding of electromechanical systems design, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Aptitude for data acquisition, analysis, and using test instrumentation to drive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead FAT for natural gas-powered generators to meet performance and quality standards.
• Collaborate across Manufacturing, QA, and Design Engineering to ensure tests meet expectations.
• Identify test equipment failures and develop mitigation plans to minimize downtime.
• Maintain and optimize test software to improve coverage and efficiency.
• Analyze data from Units Under Test to understand challenges and align with production goals.
• Work with design teams to define optimized test specifications balancing yield and quality.
• Document issues clearly within the quality system and ensure actionable records.
