Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace seeks a Lead Test Engineer to steer test strategy and execution for complex aerospace products. You will lead design, development, and implementation of test plans ensuring compliance with standards and customer requirements, including RF, range, and qualification testing (DO-160, environmental, EMI).

The role reports to Sr Software Engineering Manager and is based in Olathe, KS with a Hybrid work schedule, overseeing testing from concept to final certification and mentoring

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline required.
• 10+ years of electrical engineering, test systems, or automation engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, deployment, and sustainment of automated test and acceptance systems.
• Provide technical leadership for engineering teams supporting complex electrical and test equipment projects.
• Drive test strategy, qualification, calibration, and validation activities for production and development systems.
• Manage project planning, technical estimates, resource allocation, schedules, and execution priorities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and vendors to ensure successful delivery of engineering solutions.
• Establish and improve engineering processes, design practices, and operational efficiencies.
• Mentor engineers, conduct technical reviews, and support team capability development.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
