Job summary

Surge IT is seeking a senior test automation engineer to lead a team of automation professionals in developing and testing advanced software applications. The role requires independent work with analysts and developers to review requirements and design, and to drive the automation strategy and reporting for releases.

Responsibilities include crafting automated and performance tests using Selenium, Rational tools, and related frameworks, overseeing test plans, and delivering clear test summaries

Qualifications

At least 5–7 years of IT experience with testing discipline.
Extensive manual functional, regression, usability, and accessibility testing experience.
Proven automation and performance testing experience and framework development.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of test automation engineers and define testing strategy.
Develop and manage the automation framework and test plans.
Estimate efforts, script test cases, and perform peer reviews.
Prepare test summary reports for releases and communicate results to clients.
Coordinate with DevOps, BA, and developers; support UAT and defect triage.
