Job summary

Vail Resorts is hiring for the Lead Terrain Park Crew to design, build, shape, and maintain terrain parks for guests and employees this winter season. Starting wages range from $23.00/hr to $30.61/hr, with full-time and part-time shifts available across a winter seasonal period for 2026/2027.

The role requires at least 3 years in terrain parks (2+ in supervision), a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work outdoors in alpine conditions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of terrain park experience (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience (preferred).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Terrain Park Attendants and Groomers through daily terrain park operations and nightly design and construction plan.
  • Perform daily risk assessments, feature inspections, maintenance, and testing of features.
  • Direct teams to complete projects efficiently and safely; assist Ski Patrol on incidents.
  • Develop nightly grooming plans for Terrain Parks; assist in employee training.

The Lead Terrain Park Crew will deliver the Terrain Park experience for our employees and guests.You willassistwith designing, building, shaping, andmaintainingthe terrain parks for our guests.

Job Specifications:

Job Responsibilities:

Lead Terrain Park Attendants and Groomers efficiently through the daily Terrain Park Operations and nightly design and construction plan

Performs a daily assessment of risk, feature inspections, maintenance, and testing of all features

Directs leads, attendants, and operators to complete projects and generalmaintenance in an efficient and carefully planned manner

Assist Ski Patrol on accident investigations

Act as liaison betweenattendants and upper management and other departments

Assistin the development of nightly grooming plans for Terrain Parks

Responsible for park operations/decision making when manager is unavailable

Act as role modelregardingemployee development and guest service-related initiatives

Assistin all trainings for Terrain Park Attendants including the implementation of all necessary tools and equipment

Ongoing development of standard operating procedures and Best Practices

Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of terrain park experience- preferred

Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience - preferred

Must have a valid driver's license

Ability to work outside in alpine environment

Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Must have own ski or ride equipment

The expected pay range is$23.00/hr - $30.61/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
