Job summary

Vail Resorts is hiring forWinter Seasonal Terrain Park roles in the mountains. You will train and supervise Terrain Park Attendants and Operators, conduct safety meetings, and help plan daily and nightly park operations.

Expect risk assessments, feature inspections, and hands-on leadership of crews for parks, pipes, and events. Starting wage ranges from $23.00 to $30.61 per hour, with full-time hours available during the winter season.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 years of education.
• Minimum of 5 years of terrain park experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to work outside in alpine environment.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must have own ski or ride equipment.

Responsibilities

• Training/coaching/supervising/leading of Terrain Park Attendants and Operators.
• Organize and conduct weekly safety meetings and document equipment trainings.
• Lead terrain park attendants and groomers through daily operations and nightly plans.
• Perform daily risk assessments and feature inspections.
• Direct teams to complete projects and routine maintenance efficiently.
• Assist in design and construction planning for parks and events.
• Assist Ski Patrol on accident investigations.
• Schedule terrain park staff and manage hiring/firing.
• Communicate between attendants and management.
• Develop nightly grooming plans for Terrain Parks.
• Make park operation decisions when the manager is unavailable.

TheTeam LeadTerrain Park Crew will deliver the Terrain Park experience for our employees and guests.This individualis responsible forthe team's supervision, training, scheduling, and motivation.Theteam leadterrain park crew will perform a daily risk management assessment of the venue including the design/construction and layout of features and placement and integrity of all animation and signage.

Job Responsibilities

Training/coaching/supervising/leading of Terrain Park Attendants and Operators

Organize and conduct weekly safety meetings as well as document case specific Equipment and PPE Trainings

Lead all Terrain Park Attendants and Groomers efficiently through the daily Terrain Park Operations and nightly design and construction plan

Performs a daily assessment of risk, feature inspections, maintenance, and testing of all features

Directs leads, attendants, and operators to complete projects and general maintenance in an efficient and carefully planned manner

Assist Terrain Park Manager and Grooming team in Design and Construction planning for all parks, pipes, andspecial events

Assist Ski Patrol on accident investigations

Hiring,firingandschedulingof terrain park attendants

Act as liaison between Attendants and upper management and other departments

Assistin the development of nightly grooming plans for Terrain Parks

Responsible for park operations/decision making when manager is unavailable

Act as role modelregardingemployee development and guestservice-relatedinitiatives

Assistin all trainings for Terrain Park Attendants including the implementation of all necessary tools and equipment

Ongoing development of standard operating procedures and Best Practices

Other duties as assigned

The expected pay range is$23.00/hr -$30.61/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
