Job summary

Vail Resorts in Colorado is seeking a Lead Terrain Park Crew member for the 2026/2027 winter season. You will design, build, shape, and maintain terrain parks, leading a team of attendants and groomers to ensure a safe and exciting guest experience.

The role requires prior terrain park and supervisory experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work outdoors in alpine conditions. Competitive hourly pay and seasonal housing options are provided where applicable.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of terrain park experience required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work outside in alpine environments.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have own ski or snowboard equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Terrain Park Attendants and Groomers through daily operations and nightly design plans.
  • Perform daily risk assessments, feature inspections, maintenance, and testing.
  • Direct teams to complete projects and routine maintenance efficiently.
  • Assist Ski Patrol with accident investigations.
  • Act as liaison between attendants and management, and other departments.
  • Help develop nightly grooming plans for Terrain Parks.
  • Make park-operations decisions when the manager is unavailable.
  • Model employee development and guest service initiatives.

Job Summary

The Lead Terrain Park Crew will deliver the Terrain Park experience for our employees and guests. You will assist with designing, building, shaping, and maintaining the terrain parks for our guests.

Job Specifications
  • Starting Wage: $23.00/hr - $30.61/hr

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead Terrain Park Attendants and Groomers efficiently through the daily Terrain Park Operations and nightly design and construction plan
  • Performs a daily assessment of risk, feature inspections, maintenance, and testing of all features
  • Directs leads, attendants, and operators to complete projects and general maintenance in an efficient and carefully planned manner
  • Assist Ski Patrol on accident investigations
  • Act as liaison between attendants and upper management and other departments
  • Assist in the development of nightly grooming plans for Terrain Parks
  • Responsible for park operations/decision making when manager is unavailable
  • Act as role model regarding employee development and guest service-related initiatives
  • Assist in all trainings for Terrain Park Attendants including the implementation of all necessary tools and equipment
  • Ongoing development of standard operating procedures and Best Practices
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications

The expected pay range is $23.00/hr - $30.61/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
