MVP Sports Clubs in West Michigan seeks a Head Tennis Professional to lead group and private lessons, working with the Tennis Manager to grow the program. You will maintain high teaching standards, manage administrative tasks, and contribute to community outreach.

The role requires USPTA/USPTR certification or pursuit within 6 months, 3+ years teaching, and college-level playing experience; USTA involvement and strong organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• USTA member.
• USPTA or USPTR certification as Professional or higher; must attain within 6 months if hired.
• Minimum of three to four years of college education.
• Involvement with USTA and local/state tennis organizations.
• Minimum of 3 years teaching experience.
• College playing experience preferred at NCAA Div I–III level.
• Customer Service Skills required.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Must be able to work extra hours, weekends, and holidays.
• First Aid/CPR Training.
• Familiar with teaching tools to carry out responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide group and private lesson instruction for all ages 3 and up.
• Navigate company operational software and use it effectively.
• Assist with member concerns and billing issues.
• Work a minimum of eight hours per week in an administrative capacity.
• Maintain accurate records on students and classes.
• Maintain attendance and registration forms; manage sign-up books.
• Book and re-book clients using scheduling program.
• Ensure commissions are paid accurately via payroll system.
• Cultivate new/existing member business through outreach and events.
• Promote and grow tennis programs in the area.
• Organize social and competitive tennis events; assist with tournaments.
• Develop schools programs in collaboration with Tennis Manager.
• Answer member questions courteously and promptly.
• Report weekly critical numbers to Tennis Manager.
• Attend Service Game training sessions; maintain professional appearance.
