Job summary

UPMC is seeking a Lead Telephone Operator for the Office of Referring Physician Relations in Pittsburgh. This full-time hybrid role involves serving as the main contact for the public and hospital departments, training new operators, and scheduling switchboard coverage.

You will handle inbound calls for Pittsburgh area hospitals and connect patients and offices. Work hours are 2pm–10pm with rotating holidays; in-office time is required with some work-from-home flexibility.

UPMC Office of Referring Physician Relations is looking for a full time Lead Telephone Operator to join their dedicated team!

The Lead Telephone Operator, serves as main point of contact with the public and with all hospital departments in routine as well as emergency situations. Acts as a resource for other telephone operators, trains new operators and schedules switchboard coverage. You will answer inbound calls for Pittsburgh area hospitals, to connect patients and offices.

This is a hybrid role, which does require in office time, as well as some work from home. Hours will be 2pm to 10pm, with rotating holidays.
