Job summary

SAIC seeks a Senior Telecom Engineer in Crane, IN to lead design, implementation, and operations of mobility services and RF systems. You will coordinate with engineers and analysts to meet dynamic goals, mentor junior staff, and deliver secure, high-performance network solutions across 5G/LTE environments.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in mobility design and strong RF theory, plus Python or C++ programming for data analysis and tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical or Computer Engineering with 9+ years of experience or a Master’s degree with 7+ years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of GSM/UMTS/LTE/5GPP specs and RF propagation.
• Proficiency in Python or C++, data analysis, and database management.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small group of engineers, provide technical guidance, and align with customer priorities.
• Design and troubleshoot RF systems and antennas, including link budget analysis.
• Collaborate with LAN/WAN teams on network configurations, routing, TCP/IP, QoS, tunneling, and security protocols.
• Support Expeditionary Electromagnetic Warfare Division at NSWC Crane and ensure timely delivery of objectives.
