Lead Technician, Water, Fire & Mold Remediation Omaha
Seeking an experienced Lead Technician to handle water, fire, and mold remediation projects. This position will respond to residential and commercial property damage, assess restoration needs, communicate with customers, and oversee remediation work from start through completion.
The Lead Technician will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supervising water extraction, structural drying, demolition, cleaning, fire remediation, and mold remediation processes according to IICRC S500 standards.
- $350 Attendance Bonus for perfect attendance during the first 30 days
Pay: $23.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
On-Call: Weeknights and weekends as needed on a rotating basis. On-call stipend available, candidate should ask for details during interview.
Lunch: Up to 1 hour, unpaid

Pre Employment Requirements

- Must be able to communicate in English
- Certifications including WRT, ASD, FSRT, IICRC, or related restoration certifications with 3+ years of experience
Responsibilities
- Respond quickly to new water, fire, and mold restoration jobs
- Meet with homeowners and business owners to assess property damage
- Explain the remediation process and obtain signed service agreements
- Assist customers with navigating the insurance claims and approval process
- Perform and supervise water extraction, drying, demolition, cleaning, and remediation
- Establish proper containment to protect unaffected areas during demolition or microbial remediation
- Monitor active jobs daily and coordinate appointments with customers
- Take moisture readings, photographs, and detailed job notes
- Upload job documentation, drying records, photos, and progress notes into PSA/DASH
- Ensure work is performed according to IICRC S500 standards
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Troubleshoot equipment issues when needed
- Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and shop cleanliness
- Participate in a rotating weeknight and weekend on-call schedule
- Attend required company meetings and maintain required certifications
- Perform additional restoration-related duties as assigned
Dress Code
- Presentable work attire. Work pants must be free of holes or rips. Boots or tennis shoes depending on the job. Shirts must be presentable and free of holes or rips.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a certified field technician
- Knowledge and experience in water, fire, and mold restoration
- Knowledge of remediation equipment, machinery, and tools
- Ability to recognize and troubleshoot equipment problems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable using computers, tablets, smartphones, email, and job documentation systems
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to respond promptly to emergency restoration calls
- Ability to work independently and oversee restoration projects
- Ability to work on-call weeknights and weekends on a rotating basis
- Ability to drive a company vehicle
