Job summary

Voda Cleaning & Restoration in the Omaha and Lincoln metro areas is seeking a Lead Technician II to set the standard for technical quality and mentorship on our crew. You will lead complex restoration jobs, train junior techs, and serve as the on-site technical authority while ensuring compliance with IICRC standards.

This hands-on role requires 5+ years in water, fire, and mold restoration, WRT/AMRT certifications, strong communication, and the ability to guide a team through insurance-driven

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on restoration experience in water, fire or mold repair.
• IICRC WRT and AMRT certifications are required.
• Ability to lead and train other technicians.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Voda Cleaning & Restoration serves homeowners and businesses across the Omaha and Lincoln metro areas with carpet cleaning, duct cleaning, EnviroBiotics treatment, and full-scale water/fire/mold restoration. The Role

As Lead Technician II, you'll be the most experienced hands-on technician on our team — running complex restoration jobs, training and mentoring junior techs, and serving as the technical point of escalation on-site. You'll work closely with our Operations Manager and Lead Technician to ensure every job meets IICRC standards and Voda's quality bar.

What You'll Do

• Lead water damage, fire damage, and mold remediation jobs from initial assessment through completion
• Operate and calibrate moisture-mapping equipment, air movers, dehumidifiers, and containment setups
• Perform and oversee Xactimate-based scoping and documentation for insurance claims
• Train, mentor, and quality-check junior and mid-level technicians in the field
• Serve as the on-site technical authority for complex or high-value restoration jobs
• Maintain clear communication with adjusters, GCs, and homeowners on job status
• Ensure jobs are completed safely, on schedule, and to IICRC/insurance documentation standards
• Support duct cleaning and EnviroBiotics service delivery as needed
• Accurately complete work orders, job logs, and mobile documentation
• Maintain and care for company equipment, tools, and vehicle
• Stay current on cross-training in mold, fire, trauma, and odor services

What You Bring

• 5+ years of hands-on water/fire/mold restoration experience
• IICRC certifications required: WRT (Water Damage Restoration Technician) and AMRT (Applied Microbial Remediation Technician)
• Additional IICRC certifications a plus (ASD, FSRT, OCT, CCT)
• Experience with Xactimate scoping and insurance-driven restoration workflows a plus
• Proven ability to lead and train other technicians
• Strong communication skills with homeowners, insurance adjusters, and GCs
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to work flexible hours, including emergency/storm response calls
• Comfortable using mobile devices for daily reports and job documentation
• Comfortable with hands-on physical work
