Job description

Welcome to Wajer Yachts – Where Luxury and Craftsmanship Come Together
At Wajer Yachts, we don’t just build yachts; we create luxury experiences all over the world. From Heeg to Miami, our yachts turn heads wherever they go. That’s no coincidence – at Wajer, we focus on innovation, quality, and ultimate comfort. And it all starts with a team of passionate specialists like you.

Are you our new Lead Technician?

In this exciting role, you will work and live in Miami, while also being responsible for technical service at our other locations in The Hamptons (about four months per year). You will stay in a Wajer apartment with colleagues from your team. During the boating season, you will work closely with a team of Service Engineers and hired partners, not only leading them but also actively participating in technical tasks.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Plan and organize capacity per service hub, creating daily and weekly schedules.
  2. Maintain internal and external communication on work progress with suppliers and partners.
  3. Take the lead in technical operations, including some warehousing activities.
  4. Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on our yachts.
  5. Be responsible for resolving technical issues during the boating season.
  6. Handle administrative tasks such as managing work lists, time tracking, inspection reports, and reports in the Wajer App.
  7. Work daily with the Area Manager USA and Service Manager to ensure a worry-free season for our customers.
  8. Receive support and advice from the Technical Service Manager.

What we offer you:

At Wajer, everything is focused on quality, innovation, and passion. These values are reflected in both our yachts and our team. We challenge you to bring out the best in yourself. You'll have the opportunity to further develop your skills while working in a pleasant and energetic environment every day.

What you can expect from us:

  • A competitive salary based on your experience.
  • An employee agreement based on 218 workdays.
  • Training opportunities within the Wajer Academy.
  • Housing in a Wajer apartment in Miami & The Hamptons.

This is you:
Technology is your passion. You work precisely, deliver top quality, and have an eye for the smallest details. You always think one step ahead and look for ways to make things even better. You will be the technical expert within our organization and the operational face of our Yacht fleet and its owners.

  • You have a technical college qualification.
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • At least 1 year of leadership experience (this can also be from a part-time job or as a trainer/coach of a sports team).
  • You speak fluent English; Dutch is not necessary but is a plus.
  • You are willing to work and live in the Miami area. It's a plus if you already live in the Miami area.
  • You have a valid driver's license, as well as a yachtmaster or comparable.

How to get on board:
Upload your CV and motivation via our website. If you have any questions, please contact our recruiter Lieseth Flisijn at 00316-29805895.
