Job summary

Briggs Industrial Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Lead Technician (Heavy Line) to tackle complex equipment repairs and mentor fellow technicians. You will help keep customers' operations moving by applying your leadership and hands-on expertise.

You will diagnose and repair diesel, truck, or rail equipment, including engines and hydraulics, and lead preventive maintenance at customer sites while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience servicing Diesel, Truck or Rail machinery.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver’s license and certification on at least 80% of the designated product line.
• Technical or trade school training and welding experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support fellow technicians by sharing expertise and guiding growth.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, rebuild, and repair Truck and Rail equipment including engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and advanced repairs at customer sites while upholding safety and manufacturer standards.

What You’ll Do

Lead, coach, and support fellow technicians by sharing your expertise, providing diagnostic guidance, and helping develop their technical skills. Diagnose, troubleshoot, rebuild, and repair Truck and Rail equipment, including engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and other major components. Perform preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, and advanced repairs at customer sites while ensuring equipment meets manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Partner with Service Leadership to support training, tools, and performance goals while maintaining accurate service records, a safe work environment, and excellent customer relationships.

What You’ll Bring

7+ years of experience servicing Diesel, Truck or Rail related machinery, with strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills. Valid driver's license, and certification on at least 80% of the designated product line. Technical or trade school training and welding experience are a plus. A natural ability to lead, teach, and solve problems, along with strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to customer service and teamwork.
