Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking a Technical Software Support Lead to provide day-to-day production support for Asset Management front-office and trade routing applications. The role requires leadership, strong technical skills, and the ability to coordinate with global teams to ensure reliable services.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience in financial services technology, strong communication, and a willingness to support after-hours on-call duties. Occasional weekend support may be required.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in a technical role within financial services.
• Experience leading within a global support organization.
• Ability to explain technical issues clearly to business and tech partners.
• Experience with incident management, ticket workflows and escalation procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve production incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 production support and monitor workflows.
• Analyze and resolve production issues and apply fixes.
• Collaborate with business teams to address inquiries while maintaining controls.
• Lead and coordinate with global IT and vendor teams.
• Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call coverage for critical incidents.
• Drive continuous service improvement and knowledge growth.
