Job summary

Exowatt, based in Miami, seeks a Lead Technical Recruiter to own full-cycle hiring for hardware, mechanical, electrical, power systems, optical, controls, and firmware roles. This hands-on, in-office role sits with engineers and starts as a 1099 contract with a path to full-time employment.

You will source, assess, and close top talent, build pipelines, and partner with engineering leadership on market benchmarks while maintaining high data quality in Lever.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of technical recruiting experience for hardware, software, and firmware roles.
• Experience recruiting for hardware/engineering-heavy organizations; ability to speak credibly with engineers.
• Based in Miami, FL; on-site five days per week; local candidates only.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting: intake, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offers, and closing for technical roles across hardware, software, electrical, and firmware engineering.
• Build and execute creative sourcing strategies to reach passive candidates in hard-to-fill tech spaces.
• Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and design efficient interview processes.
• Serve as advisor to engineering leadership on market conditions and compensation benchmarks.
• Deliver a positive candidate experience and maintain data hygiene in the ATS (Lever).
• Track pipeline health and time-to-fill; travel periodically to our Austin facility as needed.
