Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead and optimize large-scale technical programs across cross-functional teams in the US. You will drive program lifecycle improvements, collaborate with engineering, product, and analytics leaders, and guide senior leadership on strategic decisions.

The role demands exceptional communication, planning, and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering high-impact projects within a fast-paced media technology environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to facilitate effective communication across disparate teams.
• Strong planning, delivery, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and meeting facilitation, esp. with senior leadership.
• Formal project management certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead adoption of Value Stream Management and improve program lifecycle for cross-functional strategic initiatives.
• Drive the largest, most strategic, highest-complexity technical programs.
• Own execution and delivery of high-profile technical, product, or software development projects from start to finish.
• Partner with engineering, product management, analytics leaders, TPMs, and technical leads.
• Forecast project risks, analyze blockers, and drive resolutions.
• Develop and execute change management and communication plans.
• Report progress and raise issues to stakeholders and executives.
• Document decisions, accomplishments, problems, plan changes, and forward plans.
• Lead organization-level technical discussions and drive decisions.
• Assist with project/program triage and make recommendations to senior leadership.
• Serve as SME and guidance resource for program management.
• Define, optimize, and manage Agile project management processes at team-of-teams level.
• Manage capacity across teams to balance priorities.
• Fill gaps across roles as an adaptive problem solver.
• Foster collaboration, transparency, autonomy, innovation, and continuous learning.
• Potentially manage smaller teams of professional employees.

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant experience
• Proven ability to facilitate effective communication across disparate teams
• Strong planning, delivery, and problem-solving skills
• Superb written and verbal communication, presentation, and meeting facilitation skills, especially with senior leadership
• Formal project management certifications preferred
• Experience working in a media technology environment preferred
• Technology domain knowledge or demonstrated aptitude for learning a technology-based engineering domain preferred
• BA/BS or equivalent experience required
• Expertise building and scaling services or platforms within a Data Platforms organization
• Knowledge of architecture, tools, and deployment practices used by development teams
• Understanding of team-of-teams agile software development lifecycle methodologies, principles, and practices
