Job summary

Two Six Technologies is seeking a Technical Product Engineering Lead in Arlington, VA to own the end-to-end technical vision for a hardware security product. You will lead across hardware, FPGA, embedded firmware, and software, while actively contributing as a hands-on engineer to move prototypes to production for national security missions.

The role requires architecture leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional coordination, with on-site work in Arlington as needed to support hardware

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or related technical domain.
• 7+ years of experience leading engineering across hardware, FPGA, and software.
• Proficiency in Python, C, C++, Embedded C, Rust, or Go.
• Experience with Embedded Linux and Yocto-based builds.
• Linux kernel development experience (drivers/subsystems).
• Experience with testing, CI/CD pipelines, and VM test ranges.
• Eligibility to obtain a DoD clearance up to Top Secret.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and execution skills.
• Willingness to work on-site in Arlington, VA for hardware work.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end system architecture and technical roadmap across hardware, FPGA, embedded firmware, and software.
• Serve as primary technical contact and decision-maker for the product.
• Plan and execute tasks across technical projects with prioritization and schedule management.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineering team members.
• Mature proof-of-concept R&D into operational fieldable solutions.
• Develop testing strategies and lead unit, integration, and hardware-in-the-loop tests.
• Minimize maintenance overhead of the product suite via modular design.
• Engage in technical exchanges with transition partners and stakeholders.
