Job summary

Encore Global in Las Vegas seeks a Technical Director to lead technical design and execution for large-scale events. You will assess requirements, coordinate with Producers, Creative team, and Project Managers, and ensure solutions meet budget, venue, and schedule.

You will oversee designs for scenic, staging, AV, rigging, and labor, source vendors, manage budgets, and mentor staff, with travel up to 50% and a strong client-service focus.

Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of technical experience in the Corporate Staging or Broadcast industry.
• 5+ years in a Project Manager role.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Functional competencies in event staging, scenery, theatrical rigging, sound reinforcement, production lighting, and video systems and displays.
• Drafting skills in Vectorworks or AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead event design, development, and budgeting within SOW requirements.
• Oversee technical designs, engineering plans, wiring diagrams, and scenic build drawings.
• Assess feasibility of designs and provide viable solutions.
• Identify and secure resources and vendors for complex elements.
• Coordinate with Producers/PMs and maintain client relationships.
• Ensure compliance with Technical and Production Standards.
• Mentor team members and share best practices.
