Job summary

HNTB is seeking a senior engineering professional to lead complex projects in the San Jose area. You will serve as the lead technical engineer, applying advanced methods and guiding project teams across multiple disciplines.

In this role you will mentor staff, assist in proposals, coordinate with clients and partners, and drive technical consistency and high design standards across transit, rail, highways, and water/wastewater projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering with 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering with 11+ years of relevant experience.
• PhD in Engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent technical reviews and provide guidance on complex projects.
• Provide technical expertise and mentorship to project leadership and staff.
• Assist in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation on complex projects.
• Coordinate technical aspects with client counterparts and teaming partners across disciplines.
• Develop and advise on technical consistency within and across disciplines.
• Ensure consistent standards and practices across projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
