Job summary

Reflex Performance Resources INC. in New York seeks an experienced technical apparel designer to lead initial proto fit and technical development across Women’s, Men’s and Kids lines.

This role requires strong grading, construction knowledge and fit, with ability to translate concepts into clear specs for vendors. You will collaborate with design teams and overseas factories, manage Tech Packs, track sample status, and mentor the Product Development team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Apparel Product development, Technical Design, or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Merchandising, Product Development or related field.
• Strong understanding of fashion design to production process from concept to final product.
• Experience with CAD software, design tools, Google Sheets, PowerPoint and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Translate design concepts into clear specs for Tech Packs for vendors.
• Collaborate with design teams to refine details for quality, fit and function.
• Support development across kids, missy/plus and men's categories.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and timelines.
• Monitor sample status with overseas vendors and development updates.
• Attend initial fits and maintain product intent through production.
• Evaluate construction and suggest improvements to designers.
