Job summary

Capital One Group is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead API-driven initiatives, coordinating between business stakeholders, integration partners, and core engineering teams. You will apply deep API knowledge to sizing, impact assessments, and troubleshooting during project execution.

The role requires 4+ years in technical PM for API-based systems, familiarity with API security, and experience in banking/payments sectors. Strong JIRA skills are expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of technical project management experience in API-driven architectures.
• Experience with API security protocols (API Keys, TLS/SSL, JWT) and API logs analysis.

* Cross-Functional Liaison: Serve as the primary technical bridge between business stakeholders, external and internal integration partners, and core engineering groups.* Technical Quality & Consultation: Leverage technical knowledge of APIs and backend systems to assist in sizing, impact assessments, and troubleshooting during technical execution.* High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification* At least 3 years of experience as a Technical Project Manager or Agile Delivery Lead managing software development teams within the banking or payments industries* At least 2 years of experience working with API testing tools and JIRA* Bachelor's Degree* 4+ years of technical project management experience within API-driven architectures, including familiarity with API security and protocols (API Keys, TLS/SSL, JWT), analyzing API logs, error codes, and network traces to assist teams during certification testing or integration issue resolution* 4+ years of experience with JIRA, including complex workflow creation, dashboard building, and tracking team performance metricsCapital One offers a comprehensive, competitive, and inclusive set of health, financial and other benefits that support your total well-being.
