Job summary

pOpshelf Lead Team Member is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a clean, organized store that reflects strong standards. You will assist customers in locating and purchasing merchandise, operate a cash register, stock and recover merchandise, and help protect company assets.

Open/close duties are performed under direction of the Store Team Leader or Assistant Team Leader, with additional duties as needed to maximize profitability and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
• Ability to perform cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.

Responsibilities

• Provides superior customer service to exceed the customer’s expectations.
• Models product knowledge and selling techniques to enhance the customer experience.
• Maintains a safe, clean and well-organized store environment that delights our customers and employees.
• Assists in merchandising the store in a manner that is appealing to customers and retains customer excitement to shop at popshelf.
• Rotates product to create eye-catching displays to drive sales.
• Completes daily and weekly cleaning responsibilities to provide a superior customer shopping experience.
• Ensures store condense and reset standards are maintained consistently each day.
• Follows company policies and procedures as outlined in SOPs and manuals.
• Operates cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collects payment, makes change, bags merchandise.
• Assists customers in self-checkout at multiple terminals.
• Cleans the store; takes out trash; dusts and mops floors; cleans restrooms and stockroom; helps set up sidewalk displays.
• Open and close the store under guidance of Store Team Leader and Assistant Team Leader.
