The Goddard School located in Doylestown on Farm Lane is seeking a dedicated Lead Younger Toddler Teacher to create a safe, nurturing environment for one-year-olds - one of the most exciting stages of development. Qualifications

• CDA/degree required for candidacy; bachelor’s preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with toddlers in a licensed childcare setting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as part of daily care.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and lesson plans aligned with The Goddard School curriculum for younger toddlers.
• Foster each child's social, emotional, cognitive, language and physical development during this critical growth stage.
• Support toddlers through key early milestones including walking, first words, self-feeding and emerging independence.
• Maintain a safe, clean and stimulating classroom environment that meets all health and licensing standards.
• Supervise and mentor Assistant Teacher in the classroom.
• Communicate daily with parents regarding their child’s milestones, progress and daily activities.
• Manage toddler-specific classroom dynamics including transitions, routines and separation with patience and consistency.
• Maintain accurate developmental records and portfolios for each child.
• Adhere to all health, safety and licensing guidelines.

Are You a Fit?

• CDA, Associate or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required; bachelor's preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with toddlers or young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
• Strong understanding of younger toddler development including emerging language, mobility and early independence
• Demonstrates patience, warmth and consistency with toddlers and their families
• Ability to lead and collaborate effectively with classroom team members
• Strong daily communication skills with parents - written and verbal updates are a key part of this role
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
