The Goddard School in Doylestown on Farm Lane is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Preschool Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in delivering a developmentally rich program for three-year-olds. You will help foster each child's social, emotional, cognitive and physical development in a collaborative classroom.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, preferably an associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education, and a genuine caring demeanor.

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool-aged children
• Help foster each child's social, emotional, cognitive and physical development
• Assist with classroom management, transitions and small-group activities
• Prepare classroom materials and ensure safety and cleanliness
• Assist in communicating with parents about their child's day, progress and activities
• Maintain accurate daily records and logs for each child
• Adhere to all health, safety and licensing guidelines

Are You a Fit?

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
• Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a licensed childcare or school setting preferred
• Energetic, patient and genuinely caring with young children and their families
• Ability to work cooperatively as part of a classroom team
• Basic understanding of preschool-aged child development
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
