Job summary

Villa Montessori in Chantilly, VA is seeking a LeadMontessoriTeacher to provide an authentic Montessori experience, following each child as they grow, fostering independence, confidence and community. You will work with teachers and families to support development.

Requirements include Montessori Teacher Certification and a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education or related field; 1 year of licensed childcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold Montessori Teacher Certification (AMS, AMI, NAMC, etc.).
• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is required.
• 1 year of experience in a licensed child care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and supervision of children aged 16 months–6 years.
• Foster an environment for self-directed growth at individual and small-group level.
• Create rapport with children; communicate with parents openly.
• Maintain classroom, teaching materials and equipment.

What will you be doing?

As a LeadMontessoriTeacher, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide an authentic Montessori experience by following each child as they grow and develop independence, confidence and a strong sense of community. Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the safety and supervision of children ages 16 months – 6 years.
• Fostering an environment that will allow children to develop at their own pace.
• Work with individual and small groups of children.
• Create a rapport with the children and be responsive to their needs, guiding them through self-directed activities.
• Maintain open lines of communication with parents to answer questions.
• Responsible for the care and maintenance of the classroom, teaching materials and equipment.

Requirements:
