Villa Montessori in Columbus, OH, is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support lead teachers in providing an authentic Montessori experience. You will supervise children aged 16 months to 6 years and help foster independence, confidence, and community.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 16 months - 6 years.
• Assist and support the lead teacher with supervision of children in the classroom while fostering an environment that will allow children to develop at their own pace.
• Work with individual and small groups of children as directed by the lead teacher.
• Create a rapport with the children and be responsive to their needs, guiding them through self-directed activities.
• Maintain open lines of communication with parents to answer questions.
• Responsible for the care and maintenance of the classroom, teaching materials and equipment.

What will you be doing?
